In June 2010, I had the pleasure in assisting the Tarrywile Park Authority located in my home town of Danbury, Connecticut, in organizing their First Annual Plein Air Event. In just four short weeks we pulled together with eight participating artists, and with the help of the Housatonic Valley Cultural Alliance,
produced some 32 plus original works of art that were shown at the artist’s show and sale at the end of
the painting week. To continue our fund-raising effort, we again are hosting the Tarrywile Park & Mansion Second Annual
Plein Air Festival 2011! We have added a youth event, and workshops and have high hopes this event
will carry on for year’s to come. |
